Fossilized Walrus Bone Ulus

This fossilized lower jaw bone or rib bone is found on the beach and collected by Alaska natives after hundreds of years of natural weathering. The ulu is a prehistoric food processor, used since at least 1900 B.C. The knife is quite a versatile utensil for kitchen, shop or outdoor use.

Made In Alaska by B. Merry Studio.  Actual ulu knives will vary from these photos as each piece of bone is unique. If desired we are happy to send photos of current stock--just ask!
